Spoiler alert: I don’t always have it together. But here’s what a (somewhat functional) week in my life looks like.
Monday:
I kick off the week with two back-to-back classes in the afternoon (1:25–2:45 and 3:00–4:20). Mornings are for getting things in order—answering emails, planning social media content, making breakfast, journaling, and sometimes squeezing in a light workout. After class, I usually keep things low-key and focus on homework.
Tuesday:
My classes start at 12:25 and run until 3:20. Before that, I do all the “catch-up” stuff—emails, content planning, and maybe a walk to reset my brain (usually scrolling TikTok if I’m honest). The rest of the day is a mix of productivity and pretending I’m not low-key tired.
Wednesday:
This one’s stacked. Class from 1:25 to 4:20, then I switch into my Orientation Leader hat from 4:30 to 7:00 pm. It’s a long day with a lot of switching roles, but I try to carve out some me-time in the morning—maybe a matcha, some journaling, or just sitting in silence. I call this my “organized chaos” day.
Thursday:
Another class-heavy day from 12:25 to 3:20, followed by volunteer work from 5–6 pm. By this point in the week, I’m definitely feeling the burnout creeping in. I call it my “bare minimum + deep breaths” day. Sometimes that just means stretching on my floor while answering texts.
Friday:
My unofficial “get it together” day. No class, so I use it to catch up on assignments, clean my room, or meet up with friends. We might grab dinner, talk about life, and remind each other that we’re doing our best.
Weekend:
I work my social media coordinator job most weekends—scheduling content, editing, brainstorming, and all that fun stuff. But I also make time to rest. I do laundry, call home, maybe go for a walk, and slowly recharge for the week ahead.
It’s messy, busy, and definitely not perfect—but I’m proud of how far I’ve come. I’m still learning how to balance everything without losing myself in the chaos. And honestly? That’s part of the journey.
